Reyes Beverage Group, via its Premium Distributors outfits in Virginia and Washington D.C., has acquired the distribution rights to a pair of the most prominent craft brands in the country.

In two separate announcements, the company said it purchased the rights to Lagunitas Brewing – already one of its top craft suppliers – and Stone Brewing, which is building a second brewing facility in the area.

“We are thrilled to announce the acquisition for Premium, and we look forward to growing our relationship with Stone as we grow the adventurous brewery’s sales in DC and Virginia,” said James V. Reyes, the director of Reyes Holdings, L.L.C.

Stone is currently building a new brewery in Richmond, VA., just two hours away from Premium’s distribution facility in Washington D.C.

“We are not only gaining another award-winning craft brewery,” said Jessica Muskey, Reyes’ craft category director in charge of the East. “We are also providing another local craft brewery’s brands to our customers.”

Lagunitas, meanwhile, will build on an already robust relationship with Reyes, its top U.S. wholesaler.

“We are thrilled to announce the acquisition for Premium, and the expansion of our partnership with the Lagunitas Brewing Company, which we proudly represent in other RBG marketplaces,” James V. Reyes said in the statement. “We are looking forward to further strengthening this partnership and delivering even greater value for Lagunitas in DC and Virginia.”

Effective today, Premium Distributors adds the two brands to its portfolio across 16 counties and ten independent cities in the Mid-Atlantic region, it said.
