Albany, NY – Nine Pin Cider Works,New York’s first farm cidery, has announced it has released its first specialty cider of 2017, Nine Pin Vanilla Chai.
Local collaboration made Nine Pin Vanilla Chai possible. Aged on vanilla beans and infused with chai spiced tea from Guilderland-based tea producer Short andStout, this cider is crafted from a farmhouse blend of apples from SamascottOrchards in Columbia County.
“OurVanilla Chai is a unique cider that is refreshing yet comforting, making forthe perfect winter warmer,” said Alejandro del Peral, co-founder and cidermaker.
NinePin Vanilla Chai cider combines the smooth flavors of vanilla and molasses with familiar notes of warming chai spices. Starting this month, four-packs of 12oz. cans will be available in the tasting room, farmers markets, and at select retailers carrying Nine Pin. Vanilla Chai is listed with an ABV of 6.7%.
