Larkspur, CA — This unfiltered, pale golden-hued ale is a salute to the “sexy hops.” Brewing begins with Golden Promise, a sweet and robust malt from the UK, next a little-malted rye, and then some of the most sought-after hops on the planet including, Simcoe, Mosaic, Citra, and Galaxy. Brewmaster Arne Johnson says hops are added to the fermenter late in the boil for full hop flavor and aroma, with just enough bitterness to balance. The dry, bready nature of the malts helps to create the perfect palette to layer the hops on.
