Maine – Maine Beer Tours is pleased to announce that Salvage BBQ & Smokehouse & Foundation Brewing Company have joined our Friday line-up, while New England Distilling and Bissell Brothers Brewing are now part of our Saturday Wakeup Tour.
Salvage BBQ & Smokehouse has been serving up finger-lickin’ ribs, slaw, potato salad, hush puppies, chicken, pulled pork, brisket, baked beans, macaroni & cheese – the full gamut of barbecue grub since it opened in August 2013. Foundation Brewing is brand new to the Maine scene, and will focus on session beers (lower ABV%). We’ve been chatting with owner/brewer Joel Mahaffey for a while, and we are very excited to bring a steady stream of folks by their beautiful new setup on Riverside Drive in Portland.
New England Distilling is the brainchild of Ned Wight, and he comes by it right. Distilling has been in his family for about 150 years, and he is making his ancestors proud with his take on Gin, Rum and Whiskey. Bissell Brothers Brewing is all about the love of beer. Noah and Peter have been working toward their dream of opening their own brewery for a while, and it’s instantly a big hit on the local Scene.
