Laurelwood Brewing Releases Organic Portland Roasting Espresso Stout

Portland, OR – If there was an official drink of Portland, it would be a tough call between coffee and craft beer. Fortunately, Laurelwood Brewing Co. makes the decision easy with a brew that brings together the best of both beverage worlds – the Organic Portland Roasting Espresso Stout. When it came to the beer’s creation, Laurelwood turned to the experts of Portland Roasting Coffee for their brains and beans.

This isn’t the first time the brewery and coffee crew have joined forces. Laurelwood’s Organic Espresso Stout is a yearly favorite. “Every fall the brew staff looks foreword to picking out that year’s coffee blend,” says Shane Watterson, Brewmaster for Laurelwood. “Portland Roasting does a great job with their coffee and they have a lot of organic options for us to blend, so it’s always a really fun experience finding the coffee for our stout each year.”

This magical blend produces the rich and chocolaty taste you find in quality espresso, enhanced by a warm aroma of dark roasted malts. In addition, the stout is Oregon Tilth certified organic – an element that Laurelwood Brewing Co. has been known to support.

Join both Laurelwood and Portland Roasting in celebrating the return of the Organic Portland Roasting Espresso Stout. The release party, taking place Thursday, January 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Portland Roasting’s headquarters at 340 SE 7th Avenue, will include sampling of the beer as well as the special coffee blended exclusively for the stout. This event is a private event for media only.

Get your beer and coffee fix in one fell swoop. Laurelwood’s Organic Espresso Stout is now available on tap at Laurelwood’s pubs and wherever better beer is sold.
