This isn’t the first time the brewery and coffee crew have joined forces. Laurelwood’s Organic Espresso Stout is a yearly favorite. “Every fall the brew staff looks foreword to picking out that year’s coffee blend,” says Shane Watterson, Brewmaster for Laurelwood. “Portland Roasting does a great job with their coffee and they have a lot of organic options for us to blend, so it’s always a really fun experience finding the coffee for our stout each year.”
This magical blend produces the rich and chocolaty taste you find in quality espresso, enhanced by a warm aroma of dark roasted malts. In addition, the stout is Oregon Tilth certified organic – an element that Laurelwood Brewing Co. has been known to support.

The release party, taking place Thursday, January 15th from 6 pm to 8 pm at Portland Roasting’s headquarters at 340 SE 7th Avenue, will include sampling of the beer as well as the special coffee blended exclusively for the stout.
