Ithaca, New York — Set sights on tomorrow when Ithaca Beer will host Good Nature Brewing in the Taproom to premier a limited draft collaboration saison-style ale called Wort is Bond (Wort). Starting at 4:00PM.
Ithaca Beer will pour Wort Taproom in addition to three other Good Nature Brewing beers on draft for the night: Annie — an Imperial IPA, American Brown Ale, and Bavarian Dream — a German-style summer wheat ale as well as offer flights of Good Nature and Ithaca beers paired with Wort. Brewers from Good Nature and Ithaca Beer will be on hand to talk about the collaboration experience and the beer itself.
On Friday, June 27th Good Nature Brewing will follow up with a Wort release night in their Tap Room in Hamilton. Ithaca brewers will make the trek eastward to represent Ithaca Beer.
Wort will go on draft in the coming weeks at select bars and restaurants around Ithaca, Hamilton, Syracuse, and Rochester areas where both breweries have distribution.
Named after the familiar phrase, “word is bond,” Wort started with a promise to brew together one day, and this past April, brewers from Ithaca Beer and Good Nature Brewing made good on their word. They came together to create a tart yet earthy saison-style ale from pilsner, spelt, and rye malts grown in New York as well as cascade hops also grown in New York, and Polish Lublin hops. It was fermented with a farm-house ale yeast and wild brettanomyces B and L yeast strains for a crisp clean finish. Wort is 6.3% alcohol by volume.
