San Diego, CA — Today, Green Flash Brewing co announces the release of the third limited-edition, rare beer in their Cellar 3 Barrelmaster’s Reserve series, Divine Enebro. Divine Enebro is a classic Belgian-style Tripel that has been aged in gin barrels with added botanicals to mimic the flavors found in classic gin cocktails. Only 600 of the bottles have been produced and they will be sold on a first come, first served basis at Cellar 3 on December 10th, with a limit of 2 bottles per person. Due to the limited release nature of the bottles in the series, the Barrelmaster’s Reserve offerings are the most collectable beers in the Green Flash portfolio.

Barrelmaster, Pat Korn has released two beers (Lustrous Frumento in May and then Ochre Frumento in October) in the series this year and each release has sold out within just a few hours. Each release in the series has been extremely well-received by consumers and critics alike.

Divine Enebro is the third limited edition beer to debut as part of the Barrelmaster’s Reserve series. Barrelmaster, Pat Korn was inspired by the flavors found in classic gin-based cocktails. He recognized some similarities between the herbaceous character of gin drinks and the classic spicy notes and fruity esters found in a classic Belgian Tripel. After aging the beer in gin barrels, he adds juniper berries, cucumber and coriander to further encourage the beer’s distinctly botanical flavor profile.

Divine Enebro – Official Beer Description

Behold, the glory of our benevolent blender on his latest masterpiece—Divine Enebro. Our Belgian-inspired Tripel is an archetype of the style, offering a flavorful kaleidoscope of fruity esters, banana, and spice. Inspired by the herbaceous quality of gin-based cocktails, we aged this classic brew in gin barrels to enhance the intensity of its botanical character. The result is a refreshing, golden Ale with a uniquely verdant aroma from added cucumber and juniper berries. Notes of coriander and clove make this beer a satisfying, celestial, and divine indulgence for the holiday season. 10.8% ABV

Divine Enebro will be available on December 10th exclusively in the Cellar 3 tasting room on a first-come, first-served basis with a two bottle limit per person. Each bottle will retail for $24.

About Pat Korn, Barrelmaster, Green Flash Brewing Co.

Pat Korn is the Barrelmaster at Green Flash Brewing Co. and oversees Cellar 3 beer production – a series of rare, barrel-aged beer offerings and the brewery’s 2nd San Diego facility. As Barrelmaster, Pat oversees Cellar 3 operations on-site, including choosing the barrels used and creating the recipes for innovative Cellar 3 ales.

Originally from San Francisco, Pat developed a solid foundation as cellarman with a winery in Northern California where he assisted the winemaker in every facet of production and in the vineyards. He moved to San Diego in the early 90s, and transitioned into brewing, working with Karl Strauss and La Jolla Brewhouse. A longtime friend and admirer of Green Flash, Pat joined the brewing team in 2010 while the company was expanding from small brewhouse in Vista to their current headquarters in Mira Mesa.

While he has focused on all areas of production at Green Flash, he developed a special interest in the brewery’s burgeoning barrel program almost immediately. Pat officially took on the role of Barrelmaster last year, and has been instrumental in getting the Cellar 3 program off the ground. He is committed to taking a craft that is inherently random and working to produce a consistently great product that tastes the same whether you are in the tasting room or across the country.
