Garage Brewing Releases Bourbon Barrel Old Strangler Imperial Stout

Garage Brewing

Temecula, CA — Garage Brewing Co. will be releasing their first ever barrel aged beer, Bourbon Barrel Old Strangler Imperial Stout. Old Strangler will be on draft at their taproom in Temecula, CA on April 4th, 2017 from 11:30am – 8:45pm.

In the fall of 2016, Garage took a popular recipe developed in their early years and decided to turn it up a flavorful notch through the process of barrel-aging. Garage Brewing gained exclusive access to Vapor Distillery’s first bourbon barrels for the creation of Bourbon Barrel Old Strangler. Vapor’s long history and passion for brewing and distilling is apparent in their products, making them a great partner for Garage’s latest creation.

The result: a malt-forward Imperial Stout with roast flavor notes of whiskey and licorice and aromas of oak and mocha.

This full bodied reserve lands at 12.1% ABV, and once released at the taproom, will also be available in limited quantities as a 22oz bottle through Garage’s distributors in California. When it comes to barrel aging for Garage Brewing, though, Bourbon Barrel Old Strangler is just the beginning.
