GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. — Founders Brewing Co. announced MF Donkey Stout as the third release in the taproom-only Mothership Series. Brewed with locally roasted Mackinac Fudge coffee, this stout is bold with just a hint of sweetness. It will be available exclusively in their Detroit and Grand Rapids taprooms in 6-pack bottles and on draft beginning September 28.
“MF Donkey Stout is a taproom favorite created by our R&D Brewer, David ‘Diamond’ Deschaine, in collaboration with our good friends at Ferris Coffee & Nut,” said Brewmaster, Jeremy Kosmicki. “It’s got so much MF Mackinac Fudge flavor, yet it’s perfectly balanced by the roasted malts, coffee and just the right touch of hops. We usually have to wait for our annual Black Party to enjoy this one, so we’re excited to take home bottles of it!”
MF Donkey Stout was an immediate hit when first released in the Grand Rapids taproom a few years ago. It’s since made a return to the taps annually, typically for the brewery’s annual Black Party. This marks the first time the beer will be bottled.
MF Donkey Stout will have a suggested retail price of $12/6-pack. 6.4% ABV 55 IBUs. It is preceded by Red’s Rye IPA and Sleeper Cell in the Mothership Series.
