Fast-growing Central California craft brewery Figueroa Mountain Brewing today announced the opening of its latest brewery taproom, located in Arroyo Grande, Calif.

The company took over a former Applebee’s location, remodeling the restaurant to include a 15-barrel brewhouse and seating for 200.

“We are honored to be part of the Arroyo Grande community as the first brewery in town,” taproom manager Rick Pike said in a statement.

Created by the father and son team Jim and Jaime Dietenhofer, Figueora Mountain has quietly grown its operation to include five Central Coast brewpub and taproom locations. A sixth location in Westlake Village, Calif. is still under construction.

Last year, the company told Brewbound it planned to invest $6 million to build its three newest taprooms in Arroyo Grande, Calif., Westlake Village, Calif. and Santa Maria, Calif., which opened last November. Milano Restaurant Group helped finance the Arroyo Grande and Westlake Village locations, the company said.

The company is also planning to open a production facility abroad, in Germany.
