Zane Lamprey, the affable host of of AXS TV’s (formerly HDNet) “Drinking Made Easy” has ranked his 25 best beer cities in the world.
Lamprey began the countdown on June 30th, revealing one new city each day until he crowned a victor.
Topping the list was Munich, Germany, which boasts a popular pilgrimage for most beer drinkers — Oktoberfest.
Taking top honors for U.S. cities was Portland, Ore., at No. 4. It’s a town known for its vibrant craft beer culture, so vibrant in fact that in Symphony IRI tracked Food, Drug and Convenience channels, craft beer owns the largest share of total beer dollars at 28.3.
Other notable U.S. cities cracking the top ten were Asheville, North Carolina at No. 6, San Diego at No. 7, Denver, Colorado at No. 8 and Boston, Massachusetts at No. 9.
