Bend, Oregon — Deschutes Brewery beers will finally flow year round in the greater Washington DC area this coming Monday, November 10! The brewery is so excited about reaching our nation’s capital that they’re sending a few folks out to celebrate with fans November 18-20 at area launch events.
In Washington D.C. and northern Virginia (Arlington and Alexandria regions), Deschutes will initially offer year-round beers Black Butte Porter, Mirror Pond Pale Ale and Fresh Squeezed IPA in draft only. Zarabanda will be available in both 22-ounce bottles and draft. A limited amount of Reserve Series bottles of Mirror Mirror, Black Butte XXVI, and Not The Stoic, a Belgian Quad, will also make it out for the launch.
A special note should be mentioned regarding the brewery’s newest collaboration beer with Chef José Andrés: Zarabanda. It is a spiced saison brewed with unique ingredients like dried lime, spicy pink peppercorn, lemon verbena and savory sumac. It is designed to pair perfectly with all inspired culinary endeavors. Zarabanda will be available in both 22-ounce bottles and draft.
Deschutes Brewery Launch Parties
Join the brewery to savor no less than six Deschutes Brewery beers on tap at this special lineup of launch parties, including rare appearances by the Oregon brewery’s anniversary imperial porter, Black Butte XXVI, and its timeless barley wine, Mirror Mirror. There will be special food pairings (think cheese, ice cream and more!) to go with the beers served throughout each evening The crew from Deschutes will be on hand to talk beer, brewing in Oregon, and hand out giveaways.

Zarabanda Release Parties at Jaleo
Come celebrate the release of Deschutes Brewery’s newest collaboration beer with Chef José Andrés, Zarabanda, a spiced saison that provides a complex malt body formed from a generous use of Vienna and Spelt malts. A classic saison yeast strain contributes light fruit esters, which are complemented by aromatic dried lime, spicy pink peppercorn, lemon verbena and sumac.
