Greensboro, NC—Craft Central, a dedicated craft beer distributor, has announced D9 Brewing Company as the latest addition to their growing portfolio. Based in Cornelius, North Carolina, D9 Brewing reimagines unique and trusted styles of beer, focusing on American Ales, English Ales, Viking Heathers and Cascadian Ales. Craft Central will distribute D9’s brands in central and western portions of the state, including the major cities of Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Charlotte and Asheville.
D9 Brewing began in a Charlotte home, when two computer engineers and a doctor discovered their shared interest in homebrewing. Founders Andrew Durstewitz, Aaron Burton and John Ashcraft began to host brewing parties, and with word of their talents spreading, the parties soon outgrew Durstewitz’s garage. In 2013, they decided to turn their passion into a profession. Less than two years later, D9 has expanded from a one-barrel system to a 4,700 square-foot brewery and taproom, increasing their brewing capacity tenfold. D9 is best known for their flagship beer, Battle Hymn Black IPA, and their newly-bottled offering, Viking Froach.
