Creature Comforts to Release ‘Athena Paradiso’ Berliner Weisse

CreatureComfortsAthenaParadiso

Athens, GA — Creature Comforts is set to release its first limited release offering of 2016 in February. Athena Paradiso with Tart Cherry, Raspberry, and Cranberry will be offered on draft as well as in 12 oz. cans.

Although this particular Athena Paradiso has not yet been produced, the brewery is certain from the reception of other editions, including a guava and passionfruit and a tart cherry version, that the public is more than ready for some form of Athena Paradiso to be released again.

Athena Paradiso is a fruited treatment of Athena (our Berliner Weisse), so it comes in at 4.5% ABV, and has quickly become a brewery and fan favorite. The beer is brewed in the same way as Athena and then treated with fruit in the fermenter.

David Stein, Co-Founder, says “We love how fruit plays with the acidity in Athena. Also, depending on the fruit used the beer will often take on its color – this version in particular will be a dark pink.”

The “Paradiso” is meant to instill a vision of paradise and prepare consumers that they are on the verge of going on a beautiful fruit journey.

This limited release offering will follow up Koko Buni in the Athens and Atlanta markets and will hopefully appease some fans who have been waiting to see Athena Paradiso in cans since it first appeared on draft in the early stages of the brewery’s opening.
