Concrete Beach Releases Deck the Walls Imperial Porter

Concrete Beach Block Party & Holiday Beer

Miami, FL — On November 5th, Concrete Beach Brewery is taking the party to the streets! Literally. In celebration of its newest beer launch, Deck the Walls, the Wynwood-based brewery is shutting down 24th Street between NW 5th and NW 2nd, for an old fashioned block party, and everyone is invited. From 1:00 to 6:00 p.m., party goers can sip on craft beer, munch on a variety of tasty bites from local food trucks, shake what their mommas gave ‘em to the beats of Electric Kif and Afrobeta, and watch a live painting competition.

Just in time for the holiday season, Deck the Walls is a big, flavorful spiced imperial porter. Aromas of cinnamon, cardamom and ginger are balanced by roasted chocolate malt notes, and each sip is complex, with a clean finish. Deck the Walls has an ABV of 8.1% and will be available in 12oz cans, as well as on draft at the brewery and select bars and retailers across Southern Florida.

Talented artists from BakeHouse Art Complex, a Wynwood-based non-profit, will be on-site decking their own canvas “walls.” Artists that will be present include Carolina Tesoro, Sterling Rock, Kim Moore, Carlos Garcia and Wanda Delgado. In true holiday spirit, the artwork will be auctioned off at the end of the event, with the proceeds of the sales, as well as $1 from every beer sold (up to $1,000), going back to the Wynwood-based art incubator and hub. Guests will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artwork throughout the event, and the winning artist will receive $500.

The Deck the Walls Block Party is a full afternoon affair featuring:

  • Live performances by Electric Kif and Afrobeat
  • Delicious food by King of Racks, Ms. Cheezious, Wynwood Parlor and Lola the Baker
  • Private brewer-led tours of the brewery at 2:00pm and 4:00pm
  • Gallery exhibit in the Social Hall

This is the first time we’re blocking off the street for a brewery event, and we couldn’t be more excited!” said Jesse Morris, Social Hall Manager. “Not only are we launching our first holiday beer, but we’re also celebrating our local arts community, right here in the heart of Wynwood. Everyone’s invited to come down, roll up their sleeves and tap into their inner artist, and also watch artists at work.”

Concrete Beach Brewery brews a variety of beers for the greater Miami area at their Wynwood-based brewery. The brewery’s Social Hall features an 18-tap bar that serves an ever-changing roster of classic and newly-inspired beers to suit all tastes, and a rotating list of events. The Social Hall is open Monday-Thursday, 5:00pm – 11:00pm; Friday, 5:00pm – 1:00am; Saturday, 12:00pm – 1:00am; and Sunday, 12:00pm – 11:00pm.
