Chatham Brewing Releases Eight Barrel Ale in New Packaging

CHATHAM, N.Y. — Chatham Brewing, Columbia County’s first and finest brewery in New York’s upper Hudson Valley, has released its Eight Barrel Ale in cans with updated packaging and artwork, the beginning of a brand refresh for the award-winning brewery.

Eight Barrel Ale boasts a significant hop presence but is more of an imperial amber due to its enormous malt backbone. Extremely well balanced with a cult following amongst craft beer fans, Eight Barrel Ale has an ABV of 8 percent and a bitterness measuring 69 IBU’s making it a great alternative to spiced winter warmers.

Working with Albany-based designer Caroline Corrigan, packaging for the holiday 2017 release of Eight Barrel Ale is a significant transition from past can designs and is the initialization of a progressive brand refresh for the decade-old brewery.

“Eight Barrel Ale has always been a house favorite at the taproom,” said Tom Crowell, co-founder and owner, Chatham Brewing. “And with the incredibly attractive can design that we worked in partnership with Caroline on, we’re confident that Eight Barrel Ale will stand out during the holiday season.”

Eight Barrel Ale will be found at bars, restaurants, and retailers proudly carrying Chatham Brewing products.
