Braxton Brewing to Release New Zealand Imperial IPA in Bottles

NEWPORT, Ky. — Dedicated to innovation, Braxton Labs is excited to release a New Zealand Imperial IPA in bottles. Bursting with a huge hop profile featuring New Zealand hop varieties of Green Bullett, Kohatu and Wakatu, this Imperial IPA has notes of fresh citrus, stone fruit, and light black pepper. The 500ml bottles will be released on Saturday, March 10th beginning at 11am.

“Finding a way to brew a very drinkable and approachable Imperial IPA was a fun project to tackle,” said Zac Boehnke, Lead Innovation Brewer at Braxton Brewing Company. “Drawing inspiration from New Zealand, we combined some of our favorite hops, as well as, some new ones to create a uniquely tropical and refreshing hop profile.”

This project highlights Braxton Labs’ continued innovation and experimentation. This is the first packaged Imperial IPA that Braxton Brewing Company has released since Tropic Flare in early 2017.  This 10.1% bold, Imperial IPA also features a light, yet complex malt bill that provides balance without allowing caramel or malt sweetness to get in the way.

Braxton Labs was born to capture the spirit of the garage where Braxton Brewing Company started. Located in Newport, Kentucky, the brewery and taproom are dedicated to innovation and creativity.

The 500ml bottles will be $8.99 for one bottle or $32.99 for four. In a very limited quantity, they’ll be released Saturday, March 10th at 11am in Braxton Labs’ taproom.

“The Imperial IPA style is not something we’ve brewed a lot of at Braxton Brewing Company,” said Evan Rouse, Chief Product Officer at Braxton Brewing Company. “Braxton Labs provides our team the opportunity to explore the style and embrace the challenge of brewing a deliciously balanced double IPA.”
