Austin Eastciders Releases Spiced Cider in Cans

AUSTIN, Texas – Craft cidery Austin Eastciders is putting drinks lovers in an autumnal state of mind with its first limited release cider in a can, Austin Eastciders Spiced Cider. The new limited offering officially launches mid-August and is widely available after Labor Day in all Austin Eastciders markets across the country.

Made with a mixture of sweet and zesty spices including cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger, Spiced Cider is slightly spicy with a smooth and sweet finish. “We make a tea of seven spices and blend it with our base cider to create our new Spiced Cider,” said Brittnay Perlo, R&D Manager, Austin Eastciders. “We aimed to create a cider that is refreshing enough for those hot Texas days, yet warm and complex for when the seasons start to change.”

Austin Eastciders Spiced Cider is the much-loved brand’s inaugural limited-release cider in a can available in all Austin Eastciders’ markets. “As an Eastciders teammate, we enjoy the fruits of our fermentation team’s creativity and get to try some amazing one-off ciders,” said Dave Rule, VP Marketing, Austin Eastciders. “Now we can provide that experience to people who don’t work on the team or don’t have the chance to visit our Collaboratory tap room in Austin.”

“Americans are falling in love with cider all over again and we’re thrilled to be part of that with our sessionable, easy-drinking ciders,” said Brad McKeever, President, Austin Eastciders. “Austin Eastciders has grown nationally 80% year-to-date and is the top craft cider in Texas.”

Austin Eastciders Spiced Cider officially launches August 13 and hits store shelves and taps widely in September across all of Austin Eastciders national markets. It’s available in 6-pack cans and on draft.
