Alexander Baumgartner Named CEO of Constantia Flexibles

Vienna – Alexander Baumgartner (51) has assumed his role as Chief Executive Officer of flexible packaging company Constantia Flexibles as of October 1, 2015. He succeeds Thomas Unger, who had led the Group as CEO since 2011.

“I am really looking forward to my new tasks. The company is on track for another record year so I am very proud to join the successful Constantia Flexibles team as its newest member,” said Baumgartner. “We will increase our efficiency efforts and strengthen our process and product innovation. I am confident that we will lead the company to more success as we push forward with our global growth strategy.”

Since 2010, Alexander Baumgartner was President for Europe of the Beauty & Home Aptargroup division. Here he played a significant role in leading the Beauty & Home reorganization and developing and implementing a European manufacturing strategy. He has previously worked for Germany’s STI Group and Austria’s Mayr-Melnhof Group.

He is a graduate of Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna and Luigi Bocconi University in Milan.
