AleSmith Brewing Company Releases Speedway Stout in 16 Oz. Cans

San Diego, Calif. – AleSmith Brewing Company is announcing that it is making its celebrated Speedway Stout available in individual 16-ounce cans. Traditionally sold in 750ml bottles, the fan favorite imperial stout will make a debut in single-serving, all-black cans. This is the second canned beer in AleSmith’s line-up with AleSmith IPA cans released in 2016.

Chocolate and roasted malts are supported by notes of dark fruit, toffee, and caramel in this modern imperial stout known for its pitch-black color. A healthy dose of artisan-roasted coffee added to each batch brings out the beer’s dark chocolate flavors. Despite its intensity, AleSmith Speedway Stout’s fine carbonation and creamy mouthfeel make it smooth and extremely drinkable, earning it the maximum score of 100 on

“Speedway Stout is a classic and has been one of our best-selling beers for more than a decade,” said Owner/CEO of AleSmith Brewing Company Peter Zien. “Enjoyed by many on tap or shared with friends from our 750ml bottles, we’re excited to bring that same intense chocolate, roasted malt flavor, and dark appearance to single-serving cans. Speedway Stout fans can enjoy it in more locations more often.”

AleSmith Speedway Stout cans are available for purchase at the AleSmith Brewery tasting room and will be distributed to 21 states across the nation including Arizona, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Vermont and Washington – as well as in Denmark.
