AC Golden’s Specialty Beers, Not Usually Sold, Available June 24 At Star Bar

GOLDEN, CO — Beer drinkers will have a chance to taste AC Golden Brewing Company specialty beers that are not usually sold this Friday night (June 24). Starting at 5 p.m. the Star Bar, 2137 Larimer Street in Denver, will feature three AC Golden specialty beers — American Wild Ale, Barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout and Belgian-style Saison. The brewery’s Colorado Native amber lager, recently awarded an A- by Beer Advocate, will also be available.

American Wild Ale is the brewery’s sour beer aged for over a year in a used French oak wine barrel. For the last three and ┬¢ months of the barrel aging process, 85 pounds of fresh-pressed whole merlot grapes were added to the barrel providing an amazing dark amber color and producing a fruity but balanced sour beer. 7% ABV.

Barrel-aged Russian Imperial Stout is a massive stout aged for nine months in a Colorado whiskey barrel. 13% ABV, 80 IBUs

AC Golden’s Belgian-style Saison is fermented with several traditional Belgian yeast strains and brewed with wheat and oats to give it an authentic farmhouse feel. Historically, saisons were brewed in the Wallonian region of Belgium to help sustain the farm workers during their laborious days in the field. AC Golden’s Belgian- style Saison aims to bring the drinker a taste of the old days with a flavorful, slightly tart finish that is sure to satisfy. 4.8% ABV 25 IBUs
