BUFFALO, NEW YORK — 12 Gates Brewing Company (12 Gates) has appointed Scott Shuler asBrewmaster, along with naming him a brewery partner. Scott, who just five short years ago was a home brewer, turned his passion into a profession as he worked his way up the ranks at different breweries. In March 2016, Scott moved to Buffalo, New York, and accepted a position as Assistant Brewer at 12 Gates. Quickly moving up in the ranks, Scott soon achieved the position as Head Brewer, bringing with him an unrivaled dedication to brewing high quality craft beer and a thirst for experimentation, which is at the root of 12 Gates’ ethos.
“I’m honored for the opportunity to be a partner at 12 Gates and excited to continue to grow this brewery with a top-notch team,” says Shuler.
With many small independent craft breweries selling out to large corporate brewers in recent years, 12 Gates adamantly maintains its independence and integrity, while striving to cultivate the community and camaraderie that built the craft beer industry. The brewery is interested in sharing their business model and giving their hard working, devoted employees the opportunity to buy-in to the company that they dedicate their heart and soul every day.
