The Pink Stuff is a Sparkling Rosé Beer that has a light-pink color brought about by free-run Grenache juice provided by Denner Vineyards, one of Paso Robles’ top Rosé wine producers.

With trademark in-hand, Silva Brewing owners, Chuck and MJ Silva, set out to write the next chapter in the highly acclaimed saga of the award-winning barrel-aged imperial stout, Silva Stout.

On Friday, May 25, two-years-young Silva Brewing will add to its ever-expanding repertoire of hand-crafted beers with a new offering: Chuck-Amok Belgian-style IPA. This will be Brewmaster Chuck Silva’s second foray into this modern-day beer style, which has been around just over a decade.

Three days after sales of recreational cannabis began in California, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions issued a memo calling for a stricter enforcement of federal marijuana laws and, in the process, rescinded Obama-era Department of Justice protections for legal cannabis that was included in the 2013 Cole Memorandum. Brewbound polled beer industry professionals from all three tiers, and most suggested that legalized recreational marijuana would have little impact on beer sales.

Since Silva Brewing’s inception, getting a taste of its critically acclaimed beers meant venturing to its tasting room in Paso Robles, Calif., or to neighboring bars and restaurants in San Luis Obispo County. That will change this month care of a partnership with California-based Stone Distributing Co., which will utilize its manpower and expertise to shuttle Silva Brewing beers to areas of the Central Coast south of SLO County, starting with an immediate, concentrated focus on Santa Barbara County.

Beginning Sunday, Goose Island will temporarily close its original Chicago brewpub on Clybourn Avenue to undergo a five-month renovation, according to a report from the Chicago Tribune.
