Blue Moon Brewing Co. today announced the national launch of a new light brew, Blue Moon LightSky: a light citrus wheat beer brewed with real tangerine peel and dry hopped with Azacca hops.
Blue Moon Brewing Company, the no. 1 national craft beer, is releasing a limited-edition keg design inspired by the recent announcement of Blue Origin’s new lunar lander, dubbed Blue Moon. The kegs will be released just ahead of July 20, 2019, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the first Moon landing – the Apollo 11 mission.

Total U.S. beer dollar sales grew to more than $35 billion in 2018, according to retail data provider IRI. The Chicago-based market research firm, which tracks category-wide sales at major off-premise retailers, reported a 1.8 percent increase in beer dollar sales, despite a 0.3 percent decline in volume sales at multi-outlet and convenience (MULC) stores (grocery, drug, club, dollar, mass-merchandiser and military) through December 30.
