Southern Tier brewing is proud to announce the arrival of two great seasonal beers. Beginning January 2016 the brewery will add 2XSMASH and Back Burner Barley Wine Style Ale to its robust seasonal catalogue.

We’re proud to announce that this January, we’re releasing Four Headed Wooly Mammoth, a Belgian Style Quad Ale as our first beer in the Cellar Vault Series. Four Headed Wooly Mammoth, a massive 11% ABV Belgian Quad, is brewed with Dark Belgian Candi Syrup (Kandijstroop Donker) in the boil, which provides notes of anise, dark chocolate, caramel & toasted bread. Candi Syrup, a traditional brewing ingredient in Belgium, also adds a dark hue and a complex Belgian character to the brew, which is fermented with Belgian Abbey Yeast.

Southern Tier Brewing Co. announced today that Choklat, the RateBeer “100” rated imperial stout will soon be available in 12oz. four-packs. Choklat, a 10% ABV imperial stout, is brewed with luscious Belgian chocolate and is the company’s highest rated beer amidst a portfolio of beloved brews

Southern Tier Brewing has hired Sean Lavery, a former Anheuser-Busch (A-B) brewmaster, to serve as its newest director of brewing, the company announced this week. Lavery, who held a variety of brewing positions during his time with Anheuser-Busch, officially joined Southern Tier earlier this week.

Southern Tier Brewing is strengthening its executive roster. The company yesterday announced it hired Brendan Smith as its new vice president of sales and marketing. The move comes nearly two months after a recent capital infusion from private equity firm Ulysses Management LLC. Smith most recently held the role of senior vice president and chief marketing officer of Smithfield Foods, a global food processor with $13 billion in annual sales.

Southern Tier Brewing, a fast-growing top-50 craft brewery based in upstate New York, today announced it has sold a percentage of its business to Ulysses Management LLC, an investment firm with offices in New York City.
