Shmaltz Brewing Company goes to the official Star Trek Las Vegas Convention 2018 with a unique Collector’s Edition release commemorating the 25th Anniversary of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

Today, Shmaltz officially announces the opening of their new home for the 518/838 brands and award-winning portfolio of craft beers, 518 Craft located in the historic downtown of Troy, NY.

Summer 2018 is no different as the Upstate New York brewery releases today its latest seasonal in the 838 series, #DDHMAO. A hazy, juicy double dry hopped Double IPA, #DDHMAO is brewed with Cascade, Citra, Equinox, and Pacific Gem hops as well as 30% of the malts used are NYS 2-Row from 1886 Malt House.

In a move that underscores just how quickly the craft beer segment has evolved, Shmaltz Brewing Company today announced plans to vacate an upstate New York brewing facility that it built just five years ago. The company — which launched in 1996 as a contract-brewed, Jewish-themed craft brand – has sold its brewery equipment assets to Queens-based Singlecut Beersmiths for an undisclosed sum.

Shmaltz Brewing Company will boost its trade presence thanks to a new brand management partnership with Artisanal Imports, the two companies announced today. In addition to “more than doubling” its current sales staff as a result of the agreement with Artisanal, Shmaltz, which currently sells beer in about 30 states, plans to expand the availability of its beers to at least six new markets.
