Based on popular consumer demand, Maui Brewing Company’s bottling project continues with a limited release of the 2016 Great American Beer Festival Gold Medal Field Beer champion, Imperial Coconut Porter. A deeper, more intense version of MBC’s flagship Coconut Hiwa Porter, Imperial Coconut Porter is brewed with hand toasted coconut, and subtle hints of cacao and coffee.

It is well-known that Maui Brewing Company is “fiercely local”, and its beers that are infused with locally-grown produce, never extracts or artificial flavors, command some respect. The latest limited release, POG IPA, is brewed with Horizon hops to provide a clean bitterness.

While not a new beer to some, Maui Brewing Company will release Haleakala Sunryes IPA in cans for a limited time to coincide with the park’s Centennial Anniversary. This medium-bodied India Pale Ale has a deep dark copper appearance, while the rye adds an earthy and spicy character complementing the bitterness of the hops.

Maui Brewing Company has announced distribution plans, partnering with Cavalier Distributing as their distributor for Indiana and Ohio. Cavalier also distributes MBC in Florida. After three years with Golden Road Brewing, brewmaster Jesse Houck has departed the company and accepted a new position as Maui Brewing Company’s director of brewery operations, Brewbound has learned. The news comes less than four months after it was announced that Anheuser-Busch InBev would purchase the fast-growing Los Angeles craft brewery.

Maui Brewing Co. is excited to bring their craft beer to the great State of Alaska in the summer of 2015. This expansion marks the 12th state their beers can be found. By July of this year Alaska residents will be able to purchase beers in bars, restaurant, liquor stores and grocery stores.

Maui | Stone Craft Beverages, the Hawaiian distribution arm jointly owned by Stone Brewing and Maui Brewing, has built out its portfolio and is now selling 21 craft brands throughout the island of Maui, the company announced today. The company, which launched in February, sells a curated lineup of beers and ciders from California, Hawaii, Colorado and Oregon, refrigerated “through every link of the distribution chain.”

Lahaina, Hawaii – Maui Brewing Co.’s Bikini Blonde Lager will be offered on international routes on September 1, 2014, and domestic routes to and from the mainland on October 1, 2014 on Hawaiian Airlines.
