Craft beer wholesaler Cavalier Distributing has acquired the distribution rights to “all suppliers” within the portfolio of Florida-based Micro Man Distributors. According to a letter sent by Cavalier founder and president George Fisher, that was addressed to its Florida beer suppliers, the transaction closed on Monday, October 22. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Rainmaker Double IPA has been an annual release for the 20 year old Green Man Brewery. This mammoth Double IPA boasts 4 different hops, Columbus, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic.
Just beet it! Green Man Brewery is releasing Thriller, a Blood Orange Saison, with the addition of beets allowing for a grisly sanguine hue.
Nearing its 20th anniversary, Green Man brewery has evolved quite a bit from its humble beginnings as the first brewery in the “brewery district” of Asheville, the South Slope. Most recently its growth is marked by the opening of the Greenmansion in March and its first cans out in the market this Summer. The latest development is a 20th Anniversary Variety Pack of cans that will be hitting all 5 states in Green Man’s distribution footprint this Fall.
Due to popular demand, Green Man Brewery is increasing production of their first-ever canned offerings, Wayfarer IPA and Sunseeker Pils. The Asheville, NC brewery released it’s first can, Wayfarer IPA, in March of 2016 and it’s second can, Sunseeker Pils this June.
While it may seem like we are sweltering through the ‘endless summer’, the fact is that autumn is just around the corner and with it the imminent release of Green Man’s Harvester Ale. Come August, this unique interpretation of the classic German Märzen will start hitting the shelves of groceries, bottle shops, and convenience stores throughout the Southeast.
Asheville’s Green Man Brewery is introducing a new brand that will become a summer staple. Sunseeker Pils incorperates the brewery’s signature full-flavored approach with a traditional German-style Pilsner. The result is a refreshing, light-bodied beer with floral, spicy hop notes and a dry finish.
Hopheads rejoice! Green Man’s The Rainmaker Double IPA returns in April. Beer aficionados prize this highly sought-after, dank beer that’s revered for its complex blend of hop flavors and dangerously smooth drinkability. Clocking in at 9.3% ABV, this behemoth is heavily dry-hopped and bursting with Columbus, Simcoe, Citra, and Chinook hops.
The time has finally come for the much-anticipated third expansion project of Green Man Brewery to open it’s doors to customers. Staying true to Green Man tradition, the Grand Opening celebration will be on St. Patty’s Day 2016. Green Man released its first ever bottles on St. Patty’s in 2013, and has continued celebrations for the rollicking holiday.
Green Man Brewery is heating things up for Valentine’s Day this year, with the release of their spicy, chocolatey Imperial Black Ale on February 12th. This high gravity beer is brewed with specialty roasted malts and a Mexican brown sugar called Panela. It is then aged on cocoa nibs from Asheville’s French Broad Chocolate, cinnamon, ancho, guajillo, and smoked morita chilis.
Green Man’s acclaimed Imperial Stout, The Dweller, will emerge from the shadows for a bottle release on January 22. Robust and warming, this 10% monster of a beer has deep notes of roasted coffee, dark chocolate and burnt toffee. The thick and viscous body suits sipping beside a fire on a wintery day. With a score of 91 on beeradvocate.com and a score of 95 on ratebeer.com, it is held high as a prime example of a true to style Imperial Stout.
Green Man’s beloved stout is returning come December. This rotating offering will be available in six-packs and draft. An impressive blend of roasted black and chocolate malts creates an opaque color and alluring depth. Rich and comforting notes of cocoa and coffee intermingle in the velvety palate. A distinctive hop bouquet provides an underlying earthy bitterness.
