Jessica Infante joined Brewbound in 2019 after nearly a decade in a variety of marketing roles in the craft beer industry. Prior to that, she was a daily newspaper reporter at the Jersey Shore. Jess holds a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and a master’s degree in integrated marketing communication from Emerson College. She is a certified Cicerone and lives in Salem, Massachusetts.

Reuters: Japanese Breweries Seek Production Capacity in North America

Kirin Holdings, parent company of the Lion Little World Beverages platform that includes New Belgium Brewing and Bell’s Brewery in the U.S., is on the hunt for more production capacity in North America to keep up with sales, Reuters reported this week.

Closings: Lagunitas to Close Seattle Taproom in January; Bear Republic Shutters Rohnert Park Taproom for Winter; Sasquatch Brewery Ceases Production

Lagunitas will close its Seattle taproom next month, which was “not a decision we took lightly,” the Heineken-owned craft brewery said. Cloverdale, California-headquartered Bear Republic brewing shuttered its remaining taproom for the winter on December 11, and plans to reopen in the spring. Portland, Oregon-based Sasquatch Brewery announced last month it will halt beer- and cider-making operations, but its pub will remain in business.
