ORLANDO, Fla. — Sunshine State Distributing and 26° Brewing Co. announced their partnership to bring the brewery’s line of core beers to six Central Florida counties: Orange, Osceola, Polk, Brevard, Lake, and Seminole beginning this December.
High school friends Greg Lieberman and Yonathan Ghersi founded 26° Brewing Co. after reconnecting in 2013. The pair opened the brewery’s doors in Pompano Beach in September 2015. Since then, their distribution has grown to cover all of South Florida, extending as far north as Pasco and Indian River counties. The partnership with Sunshine State Distributing will extend the brewery’s distribution even farther as it continues to grow throughout Florida.
“We’re extremely excited to work with 26° Brewing to bring their beer to Central Florida,” Sunshine State Distributing president Chris Larue said. “Greg and Yonathan have created a line of beers we think will stand out for their quality and balance.”
The partnership came after 26° Brewing first learned of Sunshine State Distributing through feedback from bars and restaurants in the Central Florida area. “All the feedback we got about Sunshine State Distributing was really good.” Liberman said. “And when we met them, we realized that we share the same philosophies about craft beer. We knew that we would be well-represented by the team there. They’re craft people, like us.”
Sunshine State Distributing will initially focus on 26° Brewing’s core line, including Jared’s Batch Amber Ale, Captain Ron Hefeweizen, IPA1A American IPA, Tri-County Common Lager and Ziko’s Rage Imperial Stout. Their beers are inspired by Florida and made for the people who live here. “We make beer-flavored beer,” Lieberman joked. “By that I mean we make well-balanced beer for beer drinkers and craft beer enthusiasts. We use the best ingredients and the best brewing practices to make the best beer in each style that we can.”
Beers from 26° Brewing are available now in cans and on draft in bars and restaurants throughout Central Florida.
