More than 180 breweries across 25 states and 4 countries have already committed to coordinating the release of a special beer and donating proceeds to the Wildfire Response Fund
Santa Rosa, CA – In the wake of January’s Los Angeles wildfires, Russian River Brewing Company (RRBC) joined together with more than 180 breweries from 25 states and 4 countries to brew WE LOVE LA Wildfire Relief Beer. We are launching our own version of this beer on March 7th, 2025, and donating proceeds to the United Way’s Wildfire Response Fund.
Having been through our own share of wildfires here in Sonoma County, we know all too well the emotional and financial toll disasters have on individuals and entire communities. Dozens of breweries came to our aid in 2017 with our Sonoma Pride fundraiser to help raise money for fire victims in the aftermath of the Tubbs and other wildfires that decimated our community. We are grateful to have provided a template for other breweries to launch their own fundraising efforts in the wake of even more disasters. This is a huge honor for us to help provide much-needed funds and relief efforts for our friends, family and neighbors to the south as they start the long road to recovery from the recent fires in L.A.
This international collaboration has been spearheaded by three breweries with a California presence—Common Space Brewery, Firestone Walker, and Creature Comforts. RRBC will be selling WE LOVE LA beer on tap and in cans at both our Santa Rosa and Windsor pubs. Our version of the beer is a West Coast Pils. The cans will feature the WE LOVE LA logo as well as a QR code directing customers to the donation website.
WE LOVE LA is an international fundraising collaboration that brings breweries, suppliers, and beer lovers together to raise funds and coordinate support for those impacted by the LA wildfires. The Wildfire Response Fund is actively coordinating resources across a network of LA County organizations who are providing both short-term relief and long-term recovery to affected areas.
