Fresh off last week’s debut in Kansas, Stone Brewing today announced plans to enter its 40th state, Alabama, on August 27.
The San Diego-based craft brewery has selected International Wines Inc. as its statewide wholesaler. The Birmingham-based distributor also sells popular craft brands like Victory Brewing, Stillwater Artisanal Ales and Jester King Brewery. Stone will be the largest craft brewery the wholesaler represents.
“The craft beer scene in Alabama has recently taken off, and fans across the state have been telling us they can’t wait to embrace our bold, hoppy beers,” Jason Armstrong, Stone’s director of national sales said in a press release.
Nine Stone Brewing beers will be distribute across the state, including:
- Stone Pale Ale
- Stone Smoked Porter
- Stone IPA
- Stone Levitation Ale
- Stone Ruination IPA
- Arrogant Bastard Ale
- OAKED Arrogant Bastard Ale
- Stone Cali-Belgique IPA
- Stone Sublimely Self-Righteous Ale
A number of launch events are already scheduled for the week of August 26, 2013. Additional details about those events can be found in the company release. The company will also launch in the Nebraska market on August 20.
