Narragansett Beer Introduces Limited-Edition ‘Grand Slam’ Baseball Can Design

PROVIDENCE, RI — Narragansett Beer today announces the release of a limited-edition baseball-themed can to celebrate the summer season. Inspired by the brand’s long-time connections to the sport, the ballpark imagery will be featured on all 16 oz. Tallboy cans of ‘Gansett Lager, available while supplies last.

The beloved beer brand’s ties to baseball date back to 1944, when Narragansett became the first-ever beer brand to sponsor a professional sports team, partnering first with the Boston Braves, and later the Boston Red Sox. For more than three decades, Narragansett Beer was ingrained into the identity of Fenway Park ballgames: Popular sports announcer Curt Gowdy kicked off the broadcast of 1,175 home games with the infamous line, “Hi, neighbor!
