Imbibe Events & Denver Off The Wagon Announce Third Denver Beer Festivus

DENVER – Denver is home to almost 40 breweries in operation, and 20 more breweries are in active development. To celebrate these breweries, Imbibe Events and Denver Off The Wagon will host the annual Denver [only] Beer Festivus, a beer festival for the rest of us, on Dec. 13 from 3 – 6:30 p.m. at the McNichols Building at 144 West Colfax.

“When GABF first started in 1982, there were 93 breweries in the country. Denver now has almost half that in its city limits,” said PJ Hoberman, founder of Denver off the Wagon and co-owner of Imbibe. “We want to celebrate all of the breweries in Denver under one roof. Festivus is a great place for guests and brewers alike to revel in the family that is the Denver beer culture.”

Last year’s festival featured 25 breweries with roughly 1,000 craft beer enthusiasts and yet again, an amazing dance party. This year, more than 60 breweries have been invited to participate. In order to qualify for an invitation, a brewery must have a Denver address.

The lineup for Festivus 12/13/14 include:

Baere Brewing Company

Black Sky Brewery

Breckenridge Brewery

CAUTION: Brewing Company

Cerebral Brewing

Chain Reaction Brewing Company

Colorado Cider Company

Copper Kettle Brewing Company

Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project

“The greatest thing about Festivus is the local exposure. This year several participating breweries haven’t even opened their doors yet, like Cerebral Brewing Company and Declaration Brewing Company, and Festivus will be the first festival many of these beers will be available” said Hoberman.

Denver Beer Festivus is open to adults 21 and older. Event tickets go on sale Oct. 2 at 10 a.m. Mountain Standard Time starting at $40. Tickets can be purchased at www.denverbeerfestivus.com.
