Fort Collins Brewery and Buckhorn Exchange Team Up for GABF Week Beer Dinner

FCB and Buckhorn Exchange are teaming up to host a beer dinner featuring beers in FCB’s limited release Out of the Ashes series during GABF week.

The dinner will feature 5 courses, each paired with an FCB brew. In addition to Rauchbier and Mesquite Chili Lime Ale (the first two installments of the Out of the Ashes smoke beer series), diners will enjoy FCB’s Doppel Bock, Major Tom’s American Wheat, and Double Chocolate Stout. The dishes to be paired with each beer have yet to be decided, but the exotic game for which The Buckhorn Exchange is known will certainly be included.

“The Buckhorn Exchange is a perfect fit for showcasing the Out of the Ashes series,” says FCB’s marketing director, Charles Stanley. “The game Buckhorn is famous for will pair excellently with the Out of the Ashes beers, and there’s the history to think about, too. Smoking grain over fire is among the earliest means of making malt, so smoke beer is really a very ancient style. It makes sense to partner with Denver’s oldest restaurant.”

In addition to a unique array of beers and food, guests will get to meet FCB’s brewers and The Buckhorn Exchange’s chef. Guests will also receive an Out of the Ashes specialty snifter as part of the cost of the dinner.

The dinner will take place on Thursday, October 10th in two seatings of 60 guests, the first at 6pm, the second at 8:30.

The cost of the dinner and the method of making reservations will be announced at a later time.
