Foolproof’s King of the Yahd Now Available in Cans

PAWTUCKET, Rhode IslandFoolproof Brewing Company announced that its imperial IPA King of the Yahd is available for purchase at retail starting this week in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. In addition to draft and 22 oz. bottle format, “King” is now being sold in four-packs of 12 oz. cans.

“I think I can objectively say that this is the best beer we’ve ever brewed,” said Foolproof’s president and founder Nick Garrison. “There aren’t a lot of imperial IPAs available in cans, so we expect this beer to be a big hit in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and Connecticut this summer.”

King of the Yahd, is a 9.5% alcohol imperial IPA brewed with a blend of pilsener and marris otter malts as well as locally grown rye and spelt. This year’s King features 11 individual additions of hops, including Zythos, Columbus, Amarillo, and Citra. Considered the “royal big brother” of Foolproof’s best-selling beer, Backyahd IPA, the company expects the beer to be a big hit among hop lovers.

Foolproof Brewing Company’s beers are distributed in Rhode Island by C&C Distributors; in Connecticut by Northeast Beverage Corporation; and in Massachusetts by the Massachusetts Beverage Alliance. MBA consists of five wholesale partners — Atlas Distributing Inc., Burke Distributing, Colonial Wholesale Beverage, Commercial Distributing Company, and Merrimack Valley Distributing Company.
