Rhinegeist Brewing Co-Founder Bryant Goulding on Fast Growth and Company Culture

On Day Two of the 2018 Brewbound Live business conference, held in Santa Monica, California, on November 28, 2018, Rhinegeist Brewery co-founder Bryant Goulding discussed his company’s fast growth story.

In just five years, Rhinegeist has grown to become one of the country’s largest craft breweries. It continued to outpace craft category growth in 2018, up more than 20 percent, as it approached the 100,000-barrel threshold.

During his talk at Brewbound Live, Goulding shared a vision of the craft brewery that he thought he was building in the early days, and how that morphed over the years to include ventures such as a distribution operation, a freight business and a construction company. In addition to offering lessons learned about company culture, Goulding also shared insights about building a successful craft brewery in the modern craft beer era.
