Purpose-Driven Brewery Creates Seasonally Refined and Accessible Beer Experiences
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Brooklyn, NY (December 30, 2025) — Eckhart Beer Co. continues to refine its role as a neighborhood gathering place and quality brewery with the introduction of weekend brunch service, the return of its interactive Kölsch service, and a thoughtfully rotating beer program that celebrates both tradition and collaboration.
The Bushwick taproom has officially launched a new weekend brunch menu designed to encourage lingering afternoons and communal dining. Crafted to complement Eckhart's European-inspired beers, the menu brings a hospitality-driven approach to daytime service, pairing elevated comfort dishes with crisp lagers and seasonal pours. Featured dishes include a Falafel Dog with brioche bun, pickles, tahini and hot sauce to more sweet flavor profiles such as the Dutch Baby puffed German pancakes with stewed apples, whipped cream and beer-caramel sauce.
"Winter season food and drink are always about indulgence, even if it's done with moderation," said Nicholas Meyer, Owner of Eckhart Beer Co. "When you're serving dishes that are rich or heavy, or with strong flavors, sometimes you need a beer that will contrast and stand up to those flavors and sometimes you want to reinforce them."
On Saturday, January 10, Eckhart will host its second-ever Kölsch Service, a classic German beer ritual rarely seen in New York taprooms. Beginning at 6 PM, servers circulate the space with trays of fresh Kölsch in small cylindrical glasses, automatically replacing empties until guests signal they are finished—creating a dynamic, social experience rooted in old-world beer culture. At 5.4% ABV, the Kölsch has a biscuity and rounded malt profile, balanced bitterness and citrusy hop aroma with a slight fruity character from hops and fermentation.
Eckhart's story is one of intentionality, creative hospitality, and high-integrity beer. Eckhart highlights this balance in everything they do — bringing attention to the beer without losing the broader cultural resonance. Anchoring Eckhart's programming is an ever-evolving beer portfolio that includes house favorites, seasonal releases, and collaborative brews such as a limited time ROSSA, an Italian-style red lager created with Other Half Brewing and DeCicco & Sons. House favorites include:
German-Style Pils: ABV: 4.4% | IBU: 26 | 4 Pack for $19
Available year-round. Clean malt character, woodsy hop aroma and firm, dry bitterness. Filtered before packaging for brilliant clarity.
Pairs well with foods you might also serve with champagne–cheese and meat plates, smoked salmon, even oysters or shrimp cocktail. The lean malt character and crisp bitterness will cut through the richness, cleanse the palate and leave you wanting more.
Czech-Style Pale Lager: ABV: 4.2% | IBU: 19 | 4 Pack for $19
Deep gold, with full malt character and herbal hop notes, with balanced bitterness.
Slightly fuller-bodied than the Pils, this beer will pair well with lighter roasted dishes like pork, chicken or turkey, and it holds up against the sweetness of roasted vegetables as well. Its bready malt character and clean bitterness also makes it amazing with cheese, crackers and charcuterie.
Czech-Style Amber Lager: ABV: 5.4% | IBU: 18 | 4 Pack for $20
Malt flavors of caramel and dried fruit with a touch of roast, full body and herbal, aromatic hop aroma and balanced bitterness.
Pairs well with darker roasted meats with richer sauces and sweeter, fruitier flavors. The beer equivalent of a big Bordeaux.
Baltic Porter: ABV: 7% | IBU: 20 | 4 Pack for $20
Full-bodied but not sweet, with deep malt flavors of chocolate, coffee and toasted bread. Lightly herbal hop character and balanced bitterness, with a smooth finish that belies its strength. Proceed with caution!
This is your dessert beer, with enough body to stand up to the sweets, and malt character that plays well with warm spices, pie crusts and brown sugar. Also pairs fantastically well with blue cheese and chocolate.
These seasonal offerings are located at 545 Johnson Ave, Brooklyn, where Eckhart Beer Co. continues to position itself as a destination for thoughtful hospitality, communal rituals, and expertly crafted beer.
