805 Beer today shared its “Summer of Cerveza” campaign, a celebration of 805 Cerveza—its lime-infused, beach-inspired lager brewed for laid-back living. Centered on the rallying cry “Real Lime. Real Refreshing,” the campaign kicks off with a high-energy spot capturing the spirit of surfing, skating, fishing, music, Hispanic culture, and the 805 way of life. Watch here.
The multi-platform push spans ESPN, Hulu, Meta, World Surf League (WSL) broadcasts, national out-of-home placements, global brand partnerships, and 805 Films storytelling, all anchored by a diverse crew of athletes, artists, and creators who define the 805 way of life.
Meet the Authenticos: Summer’s Cultural Co-Stars
The “Summer of Cerveza” features 805 Authenticos, including pro-surfers Conner Coffin, Kirra Pinkerton, and Lakey Peterson; skater Steve Corona; maritime legends Haggard Pirate; custom car club Sabor Kustoms; surf-punk band Tijuana Panthers; and cumbia-punk trio Tropa Magica.
“This campaign is a tribute to those who live wide open—with sand on their feet and stories worth telling over a cold 805,” said Dustin Hinz, Chief Marketing Officer of Firestone Walker Brewing Company. “It’s a love letter to the easygoing, untamed spirit that defines our beer and our home.”
805 Cerveza Rides into Summer with Momentum
805 Cerveza entered 2025 with a fresh packaging update—clear glass bottles and new artwork that lean into the beer’s crisp, sessionable character. Cerveza finished 2024 +9.1% and current YTD trends are +2.4% with California leading the way at +3.8% (per Nielson data).
“805 Cerveza continues to build real momentum as part of the broader 805 Beer family, and this summer is our chance to take it even further,” said Tony Amaral, Chief Sales Officer for Firestone Walker Brewing Company. “We’re excited to partner with retailers to own a moment that not only drives beer culture but creates more reasons and more occasions for consumers to choose beer.”
The Official Craft Beer of Surfing, Warped Tour & Born Free
As the Official Craft Beer of Surfing through its partnership with the World Surf League, 805 Beer will anchor the summer scene at the U.S. Open of Surfing and Trestles Pro—bringing fans into the fold with 805 Cold Beer Surf Clubs, live podcasts, film premieres, music, parties, and cultural moments that live well beyond the beach.
805 also joins as the Official Craft Beer of the Vans Warped Tour West Coast, making a full appearance at the Long Beach stop July 26–27–meeting fans at the intersection of punk, sun, and the laid-back California lifestyle.
On the moto front, 805 Beer continues its reign as the Official Beer of the Born Free Motorcycle Show, where custom bikes, bands, and beer collide across flagship events in California and Texas. Together, these partnerships mark 805’s ongoing commitment to showing up in the spaces that shape culture—connecting beer with the moments, people, and passions that define the season.
Cinematic Summer: 805 Films
805’s award-winning content work continues to showcase the grit and passion of Authenticos through its summer slate. This includes the premiere of “Open the Gates” featuring saddle bronc rider Lefty Holman, as well as new projects with pro-surfes Conner Coffin, Kirra Pinkerton, and Nate Tyler, plus hits like “Making Waves,” “Convergence,” “The House That Built Me,” and “Another Eight Seconds.” Each film amplifies the spirit of perseverance that defines 805.
California’s #1 Craft Beer
805 Beer is proudly brewed in California and includes 805 Blonde Ale, 805 Cerveza, and 8ZERO5, a non-alcoholic option brewed to match the taste of the original Blonde. Together, they represent one of the most culturally resonant beer brands in the country—rooted in place, community, and story. As California’s #1 Craft Beer, 805 is more than a beverage—it’s a movement with beer at its core.
“We’re incredibly proud of what 805 has become, and even more excited about where it’s going,” said Nick Firestone, CEO of Firestone Walker Brewing Company. “This beer was born in the heart of California, and it’s always been a reflection of the people and the places that make this state special. We don’t take any of this for granted—we’re just grateful to keep building something meaningful, one beer and one story at a time.”
