Atlanta’s Sweetwater Brewing today announced the hiring of Kimberly Jones, who has been named the company’s new chief financial officer, according to a release.
Jones, who most recently served as vice president and corporate controller with SPANX, an Atlanta-based women’s apparel company, brings more than 15 years of executive financial and management experience to Sweetwater. She previously served in executive roles with The Coca-Cola Company, Ernst and Young LLP and EarthLink LLC.
“Kim brings a wealth of experience, energy and a fresh perspective to the table, and her addition to SweetWater family will undoubtedly help launch us to the next level,” Sweetwater founder Freddy Bensch said in a release. “She’s a multitalented leader with an extensive financial background in the technology, beverage and shapewear industries — qualifications sure to help tighten up our bottom lines.”
The news follows Sweetwater’s $19 million brewery expansion, which was completed in September and quadrupled production capacity. The company also recently expanded into the Louisville market with River City Distributing.
