Stone Announces GABF Events

ESCONDIDO, CAStone Brewing Co. will celebrate the Great American Beer Festival (GABF) with a slew of beer-centric events in Denver from September 30 through October 4. Events will feature rare and special release Stone beers, and craft beer enthusiasts in the area will be able to meet members of Team Stone. Here’s what the North San Diego County beer company has on tap:

Tuesday, September 30

Paramount Café Beer Festival from 5 to 8 p.m.

Paramount Café, 519 16th Street, Denver, CO 80202

Stone will be among more than 20 breweries participating in the 2014 Paramount Café Beer Festival. One hundred percent of the proceeds from beer sales will be donated to the Rocky Mountain Down Syndrome Association, whose mission is to assure inclusion and enhance independence of people with Down syndrome. Stone beers available will include Stone Enjoy By 10.31.14 IPA and 2013 Stone Old Guardian OAK-SMOKED Barley Wine. Tickets may be purchased at Paramount Café for $20 per person by calling 303-893-2000.

San Diego Tuesday beginning at 8 p.m.

Tap n’ Handle, 307 S. College Avenue, Fort Collins, CO 80524

Join Stone and other San Diego craft brewers as they take over the taps at Tap n’ Handle. Available beers include: Stone Reason Be Damned Belgian Style Abbey Ale aged in Red Wine Barrels, Stone “The Tiger Cub” Saison aged in White Wine Barrels w/Sour Cherries, Stone Cali-Belgique IPA aged in White Wine Barrels and Stone Passion Project.

Brewers’ Karaoke beginning at 8 p.m.

Wednesday, October 1

World of Beer Barrel-Aged Beer Competition from 5 to 8 p.m.

World of Beer — Cherry Creek, 660 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80246

World of Beer — Cherry Creek will host a barrel-aged beer competition. Guests will be able to submit a vote for their favorite wood-infused beer from a wide array of various craft breweries throughout the country, including Stone’s limited release 2012 Double Bastard Ale aged in Red Wine Barrels. For $40, attendees will receive unlimited 4-ounce samples from among more than 30 barrel-aged beers of their choosing. Tickets may be purchased at World of Beer for $40 per person. Rare Beer Dinner beginning at 7 p.m.

Join Stone Craft Beer Ambassador “Dr.” Bill Sysak for a beer pairing dinner. Dishes will be served alongside the following Stone special release beers: Matt’s Burning Rosids Imperial Cherrywood-Smoked Saison, Stochasticity Project Quadrotriticale, Bourbon Barrel-Aged Arrogant Bastard Ale and 2013 Stone Old Guardian OAK-SMOKED Barley Wine.
