Southern Prohibition Sets Taproom Grand Opening for July 1

Hattiesburg, MS — April 25th, 2013:  Southern Prohibition’s first batch of kegged beer makes it’s way into 14 accounts across Hattiesburg, Mississippi. It’s fitting that four years to the day we proudly announce another historic milestone for our brewery, The grand opening of our onsite, full service, no longer prohibited, taproom.

And we wanted to invite you personally.

On July 1st, at approximately 12:01 PM we fully open our doors for the first time to our hometown of Hattiesburg, MS. and the world beyond. Once open, 10 hours of limited can release IPA’s, brewery only tappings, and other surprises await all who enter under the backdrop of our newly renovated courtyard.

And food. My God the food.

The ability to sell beer directly to customers for both home as well as onsite consumption at the brewery will radically change the landscape and possibilities for the breweries of Mississippi beginning July 1st 2017.

None of this would have been possible had it not been for the tireless effort put forth by the Mississippi Brewer’s Guild and especially our lawyer and friend, Matt McLaughlin (Recipient of this years CBC Defense of the Craft Beer Industry Award.)

Below is the link for the Facebook event. Stay glued as we get closer to this momentous event, as we will continue to release more information as we inch towards Southern Non Prohibition.
