ATLANTA – Second Self Beer Company is excited to announce its newest seasonal release: Maverick & Gose (4.4% ABV, 8 IBU)! This beer arrives just in time for the heat of summer. Available through September, Second Self’s take on a traditional Gose includes the addition of fresh coriander and is dry hopped with fruity Wakatu hops to balance out its slightly tart and salty nature. It’s a beer that’s good anytime, but best enjoyed outdoors on your favorite patio.
Suggested pairings include grilled grouper, oysters, guacamole, pineapple, parmesan cheese, the pool.

The beer will also be available on draft at Second Self’s Atlanta tasting room, which has been closed to the public since December 2015 for a much-anticipated expansion. On Saturday, May 21st, 1pm – 4pm, Second Self is inviting guests to visit for the first time in 2016 for Sneak Peak Saturday. The event will be hosted outdoors, and guests can taste new beers and tour the in-progress, future tasting room with Second Self’s founders, set to reopen later this summer. About Second Self Beer Company:
Founders Jason Santamaria and Chris Doyle started Second Self as a home brewing experiment a decade ago, and released their highly acclaimed beers to the public in fall 2014. The two met in college at Georgia Tech and bonded over a shared passion for good beer. Chris went on to work at Atlanta’s Sweetwater Brewery and earned his certificate from the American Brewers Guild Craft Brewers Apprenticeship program. Jason has a background in food and business.
Second Self’s beers are brewed with only fresh ingredients like blue ginger and lemongrass (never dried ingredients or extracts), and each brew is designed to be paired with food. After a successful first year in business, Second Self announced expansion plans for 2016. Their graphics are by Adrenaline, Inc. and were recently recognized with awards at Tastings.com’s 2015 World Beer Championships Packaging Competition and Graphic Design USA’s 2015 American Graphic Design Awards.
