New York, NY – It is with great excitement that we announce next month’s launch of Sarene Craft Beer Distributors LLC. Owned by Matt and Eric Schulman, Sarene is a craft beer wholesaler servicing New York City and the surrounding metro area.
Craft beer is our passion. Our vision is to share the beer we love with New York while taking the best care of our customers, employees, suppliers, and community.
Over the last year, we’ve been searching the globe for the best breweries we could possibly find. At present, we have agreements to distribute the following five breweries:
Port City Brewing Company (Alexandria, VA) – Committed to reviving the rich brewing history of Alexandria, Port City Brewing Company has been making some of the best beer in the country for two years now. Don’t just take our word for it, they’ve racked up an incredible five medals at GABF in only two years of operation. Optimal Wit, Oktoberfest, COLOSSAL ONE, and COLOSSAL TWO took home a gold, silver and two bronze, respectively at 2013 GABF.

Thirsty Dog Brewing Company (Akron, OH) – The biggest GABF trophy case in our portfolio, Thirsty Dog Brewing Company has taken home nine GABF medals since 2000. Led by Old Leghumper (Robust Porter), Thirsty Dog’s complex and lengthy portfolio is something we can’t wait to represent. With eyes on expanding capacity to bring more beer to anyone lucky enough to be familiar with their brand, Thirsty Dog just closed a self-funded, multi-million dollar expansion deal that will ensure they keep bringing new and inventive beer to the public.
Lakefront Brewery (Milwaukee, WI) – What started twenty six years ago as one man giving his brother a homebrewing book, has now become a 35,000 barrel per year brewery. They’ve come a long way since brewing on used dairy equipment and a handmade bottling machine created by owner Russ Klisch. A six time GABF medalist, Lakefront Brewery has continued to brew some original recipes while keeping an eye on the future by making some amazing new portfolio additions of small batch beer.
Carton Brewing (Atlantic Highlands, NJ) – Cousins Chris and Augie Carton teamed up with friend and head brewer Jesse Ferguson to start Carton Brewing. In another gifted homebrewing kit becoming a brewery story, Carton has been applying a passion for stimulating flavor to inspiration found all around them. Predating the session ale craze across the country, Carton’s flagship Boat Beer evolves with every sip and is something the Hudson Valley will welcome with open arms.
With thousands of breweries opening in the next few years, Sarene is committed to selectively partnering with the best breweries around. We are extremely pleased to be partnering with these breweries, each world-class in their own right. We look forward to growing with them and doing our part to help to slake the thirst of New York!
