River North Reintroduces its Tripel

Denver, Colo. — Last summer, River North Brewery released a single batch of Tripel. Within two weeks, it was gone, leaving everyone – including River North’s brewers – craving more.

So on Saturday, June 13th, the brewery will reintroduce River North Tripel. A classic Abbey-style golden strong ale, Tripel is the brewery’s summer seasonal, available in 22-ounce bombers and on draft while the weather stays warm.

“I’ve always loved traditional abbey style ales, but, with the exception of Quandary, we don’t often have the opportunity to brew them,” Head Brewer Matt Hess said. “River North Tripel truly exemplifies our monk-like devotion to capturing the essence of this brewing tradition.”

Bursting with notes of apricot, pear and lemon, River North Tripel finishes dry with a Trappist-esque yeast bite. This 9.2% ABV brew can be enjoyed fresh, but if you can stand it, the brewery recommends you stock your cellar with a few bottles to age up to two years.

Both draft pours and bombers ($9, limit 6) will be available at the taproom release party, June 13th starting at 1pm. More bottles will hit store shelves in Colorado, Kansas and Kansas City, Missouri following the release.
