Kansas City, MO – The college town vibe is something all of the above have in common. Now they can share another popular trait: Mother’s Brewing Company. Beginning in February, the Springfield, MO based brewery will partner with Central States Beverage Company to bring distribution of its product into Lawrence, Kansas.
“Since 2012, Mother’s has been a very popular product for us in the Kansas City market,” said John Kane, General Manager & Executive VP of Central States. “We could not be more excited as a company to have been chosen by Mothers Brewing Company to open the Lawrence, Kansas market, one of fastest growing craft markets in the region.”
Central States already distributes a variety of craft beers, spirits and other products in the Lawrence market, making them no stranger to the scene. Adding Mother’s to the area, however, will help expand the variety of local craft beers in a town that traditionally embraces quality products. When asked about the launch plans, Jon Poteet VP of Marketing for Central States says that “there will be a full week of launch events that include educational seminars with retailers, tap takeovers, music sponsorships, targeted digital advertising, out of home advertising and more.”
“We couldn’t be more excited about making new friends in Lawrence and spreading craft beer love,” said Mother’s owner and Kansas native, Jeff Schrag. “We have been so fortunate with our success in the Kansas City market and Lawrence was the logical next step for growth.”
