Molly’s Spirits and Big Choice Brewing Collaborate on Sour Series

Broomfield, CO — Last fall Big Choice Brewing started chatting with Tony Doria, Molly’s assistant beer manager, about how sour beers were doing super well at the store, and how Molly’s was the number one account for the brewery. As the conversation continued Tony suggested that the brewery starting brewing a beer just for Molly’s.

The forces combined and now every six to eight weeks, Molly’s will release an exciting new beer created exclusively for them by Big Choice. One reason Molly’s wanted to do this was to further differentiate themselves by offering a truly unique, ever-evolving, product that is exclusive to Molly’s.

This project has been a way for Molly’s to do something new, different, exciting, and explore a style of beer, beer, that is not only deep rooted in beer history and tradition, but is also on the cutting edge of the beer trends. It’s a new vehicle to get their branding and logo into people’s hands and to spread a little “buzz” about the store. It’s also a way to bring new people into the store who try the beer at the brewery then must come to Molly’s to take some home.

Molly’s Tarts & Crafts Volume One of the series is a sour brown ale with vanilla, oranges, and cranberries. It is complex, balanced tartness, and quite approachable. Subtle chocolate malt notes complimented with a slight vanilla finish which blends seamlessly with a balanced sour profile that is accented by tart cranberry notes. Pairs excellent with chocolate cake, fruit tarts, gorgonzola, beef tenderloin, or a hike on the trail.

Molly’s Tarts & Crafts Volume Two is slated to release mid-May and will be a dry hopped session sour with strawberries.
