RALEIGH, N.C. — Mims Distributing Company, a North Carolina wholesale beverage distributor, is partnering with Triangle Delta Waterfowl (TDW) for its Annual Banquet on Friday, Feb. 13. In order to raise awareness of the importance of environmental conservation, Mims Distributing will donate beer for the banquet. An ally in the company’s commitment to promoting safe and responsible drinking, Taxi Taxi will be available to provide rides after the event. The banquet will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Kerr Scott Building on the NC State Fairgrounds.
“We are proud to work with Triangle Delta Waterfowl and donate to its annual banquet, which has become a staple in supporting local conservation efforts,” said Chip Mims, CEO of Mims Distributing Company. “Mims Distributing values aligning ourselves with organizations that promote such great causes, and we want everyone to understand the importance of responsible drinking. Triangle Delta Waterfowl’s annual banquet allows us to reach a large audience with a timely and important message.”
For more than 50 years, Mims Distributing has been committed to being an environmental steward. In 2011 the company moved to a newly renovated facility, which includes one of the largest private solar rooftops in Wake County and bio-retention ponds to minimize on-site water consumption. Mims Distributing places a premium on water conservation and the future of waterfowl and waterfowl hunting, as water is a necessity to the successful production of beers and wines. Mims Distributing continually seeks to align themselves with organizations that share its values.
“Triangle Delta Waterfowl is proud and honored to host our 4th annual banquet. All of the funds raised at our banquets go to support waterfowl conservation, youth hunting opportunities, and veteran and active duty military hunting opportunities,” said Lee Monses, co-chairman of Triangle Delta Waterfowl. “We are humbled by the support of our community and local businesses, including Mims Distributing, which allows us to host this great event for truly worthwhile causes.”
The TDW Annual Banquet allows Mims Distributing to contribute to this effort and raise conservation awareness within the greater Triangle community. Twenty-five percent of all profits raised at the banquet directly supports active and veteran military and youth hunting opportunities in North Carolina.
