South Burlington, VT – The brewing team at Magic Hat is set to roll out a limited quantity of 22oz bottles and kegs of Belgo Sutra, a Belgian-style Quadrupel brewed with figs and dates. The Vermont brewery expects craft beer drinkers across the country to be overwhelmed with pleasure, while partaking in this rare offering. The good feelings are expected to linger long after, as Belgo Sutra is also brewed to benefit the Vermont non-profit and HIV testing center, Vermont CARES.
Rapturous Flavor to Sip and Savor
“We consulted many historical Quad recipes before originally developing this beer in the late 2000s,” said Head Brewer Chris Rockwood. “With plenty of updates, trials, and additions, Belgo Sutra returns to the delight of our brewing team and those who find it beyond the walls of our cellar.”
Belgo Sutra is brewed with figs, dates, Belgian candy sugar and an Abbey Ale yeast for a unique take on traditional Belgian dark ales. Rich, smooth malt flavors of caramel and toffee couple with bright notes of raisin, fig and date.
Take Pleasure in a Healthy Hookup
To celebrate the launch of Belgo Sutra, Magic Hat has made a donation to Vermont CARES, a non-profit organization that has been building healthy communities in Vermont for 30 years. Vermont CARES envisions a world where people live free of the stigma, poverty and oppression associated with the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
“We are proud to work together with Magic Hat in building a stronger and healthier Vermont,” said Vermont CARES Events & Marketing Director, Christian Pinillos. “We both share our love for the Green Mountain State and a belief in building healthy communities.”
