Portland, OR – Fresh hop season is in full swing across the Pacific Northwest. Breweries throughout the region celebrate harvest season with once-a-year brews that draw attention to the industry’s famous, green ingredients. Today Hopworks Urban Brewery (HUB) releases the first of three fresh hop beers at both of the company’s brewpubs, and with limited distribution in kegs throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The three beers highlight HUB’s relationships with local hop farmers who share a passionate pursuit of environmental stewardship. The first beer available is Nonstop Fresh Hop, which features organic Fuggle hops from Leavy Farms in Aurora, Oregon. The beer is a variation of Nonstop Hef Hop, HUB’s year-round hoppy session wheat. By the end of September, HUB will also release Estate IPA and Fest of Fury.

Estate IPA is a fresh hop version of their award-winning Hopworks IPA. The beer contains Willamette and Cascade hops grown in the hop yard at Hopworks Urban Brewery, and is supplemented with an experimental hop variety, X17, from Leavey Farms. Fest of Fury gives a German-style Märzen beer a seasonal spin from the Pacific Northwest with freshly harvested, Salmon-Safe Willamette hops from Goschie Farms in Silverton, Oregon.
